The Gaston County Wellness Center provides high-quality, confidential health care for all employees as well as dependents ages 2 years and older and retirees enrolled on the county health plan. The Wellness Center is staffed and operated by Atrium Health, providing you with easy access to world-class health care.

After Hours: Call the Wellness Center to get connected to several after-hours resources, including nursing support and the on-call provider.

  • Sick visits for colds, flu, COVID-19, allergies, sinus infections, urinary tract infections and more
  • Injury care for minor cuts, burns, sprains, strains and more
  • Care for chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure and asthma
  • Annual wellness exams

  • On-site testing and labs
  • Specialty eConsults (between clinic provider and Atrium Health specialist)

CARE TEAM
The Wellness Center care team is led by an Atrium Health advanced practice provider (nurse practitioner or physician assistant). An advanced practice provider can diagnose and treat many health conditions as well as prescribe medications.

Your care team also includes a registered nurse.

As needed, the Wellness Center team can collaborate with your primary care physician and/or specialist(s).
